Alvise Casellati was born in Padua, Italy, from a Venetian musical family with important ties to the top classical music scene in the 19th and 20th centuries, i.e. Rossini, the Wagner’s family, Boito, Giulio Ricordi, Wolf-Ferrari, etc..
Well versed in opera and symphonic repertoire, he was initially drawn to orchestral conducting by Leopold Hager at the Vienna Musikhochschule, later studied with Maestro Vincent La Selva at Juilliard School of Music and mentored by Maestro Piero Bellugi (2009-2012), working as his Assistant in New York in 2010. In 2012/2013 he became Assistant Conductor of Gustav Kuhn at the very opening of the New Erl Festival House in Austria…

Allievo del Maestro Vincent La Selva alla Juilliard School of Music a New York, Alvise Casellati si è perfezionato alla Scuola del Maestro Piero Bellugi (2009-2012) ed è stato suo assistente a New York nel 2010. Impegnato in importanti progetti di responsabilità sociale, si dedica da anni alla riscoperta di grandi opere e compositori dimenticati del repertorio italiano, come Alberto Franchetti.
