Maestro Alvise Casellati finally formed the entire cast into a musical unity. He mastered the challenge of bringing together singers and musicians who do not work together regularly, above all through his profound knowledge of Italian opera. He uncovered the many shades in Nabucco and the not easily recognisable complexity of the libretto just as brilliantly as the striking climaxes everyone expects. Bravo, bravissimo Maestro, we learned a lot about Verdi this night!
